Survey: Young people know little about “Green Jobs” – economic policy

Vienna – From photovoltaic installation to wastewater management: the need for skilled workers for the energy transition is expected to increase sharply in the coming years – and with it job opportunities in so-called green jobs. However, Austria’s young people hardly know anything regarding this, as an evaluation of a survey published on Monday showed: only every second person between the ages of ten and 16 has heard the term. 800 young people were interviewed for the representative survey according to the Institute for Youth Culture Research.
