Sven-Goran Eriksson will finally realize his dream of becoming Liverpool manager, during a legends charity match once morest Ajax next month at Anfield.

The former England manager, who has advanced cancer, revealed in January that he had ‘at best a year’ to live following being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He underlined at the time his unconditional love for Liverpool before expressing his regret at not having been able to coach them and his wish to one day become coach of the club of his heart.

The Mersey club did not remain indifferent to the wishes of the 76-year-old Swede and offered him to sit on the bench on March 23.
