Skip Yannick Schwaller’s Switzerland reached the semi-finals of the 1st Grand Slam of the season played in Canada.

The Helvetians, also with Benoît Schwarz, Sven Michel and Pablo Lachat, were beaten to the wire by Niklas Edin’s Sweden. They tied with the Scandinavians before losing at the end of the match. Italy, led by Geneva’s Joël Retornaz, finally won the event by defeating the Swedes.
