“Swiss Labor Dispute: Kapers Union Votes to Terminate Collective Agreement – Latest Updates and Negotiations”

2023-05-30 15:58:44

The labor dispute at Swiss is getting tougher. The Kapers cabin crew union has come out in favor of terminating the current collective labor agreement (CCT), it announced on Tuesday.

The 2503 employees under the current collective agreement on the Zurich and Geneva sites and having the right to vote were called upon to vote electronically. They voted almost 85% for the termination of the CTC.

Termination shall take effect on April 30, 2024. Until then, the current SCC remains valid and the current rights and duties remain in force. These include in particular an obligation of social peace, which translates into an impossibility to strike until the end of next April.

Negotiations for a new CCT have resumed between the union and Swiss, says Kapers once more.
