On April 4, the visit of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to Washington, USA will finally take place.

Specifically, Mr. Mitsotakis will be in the USA in order to attend the event traditionally organized at the White House for the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821. In the same context, a bilateral meeting between the Greek Prime Minister and the American President, Joe Biden, is expected to take place.

According to information, the two sides were scheduled to issue a joint statement announcing the trip to the USA, however, the US ambassador, George Tsounis, who was “present” today at the “city hub events” conference held in Alexandroupoli, referring to the Greek-American relations revealed the date of the trip.

All issues concerning the two countries are expected to be on the agenda of the meeting, such as armaments, energy and the strategic partnership between Greece and the USA. Also, the issue of Ukraine, what is happening in the Middle East and of course Greek-Turkish relations will be discussed.

It is noted that Kyriakos Mitsotakis was going to travel to the USA last January, however he fell ill with the flu and so the trip was postponed and was scheduled for sometime following March 25.
