Several people were injured in a collision between two BVG buses on Saturday in Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The Berlin police announced this on Platform X in the afternoon. On Leonorenstrasse in Lankwitz, a bus driver is said to have hit another bus in the area of a stop around 2:40 p.m.
There was conflicting information in the evening about the exact number of those affected and the severity of the injuries. The police reported ten injuries. One person is said to have been taken to hospital for inpatient treatment and another nine were treated as outpatients on site.

The fire department, however, spoke of two people being slightly injured. The emergency services first cared for them on site and then took them to the hospital, a spokesman told Tagesspiegel in the evening. The spokesman could not say whether the two had been passengers on the affected buses.
A fire department spokesman explained the different information on Sunday by saying that the ten people reported by the police as injured did not need to be treated by rescue workers and were therefore not recorded. These are those “affected” by the accident.
The stop was on Siemensstrasse, at the corner of Leonorenstrasse, as a police spokeswoman told the Tagesspiegel. She was unable to provide any further details. The road did not have to be closed while the accident was being recorded. The fire brigade was deployed with twelve people.
