Breaking: Sixth Edition of ‘El Sbregon’ Vertical Race Sets New Records in Tuenno
June 6th marked a significant day for the community of Tuenno as the sixth edition of the ‘El Sbregon’ vertical race took place. This non-competitive event, organized by the Tovel Mountain Bears Asd association, drew over one hundred and twenty participants eager to tackle the challenging course.
An Evening of Sport and Leisure
The race kicked off at 19.30 from Piazza degli Alpini di Tuenno, winding through the town’s streets along the steep path of the Red Sasso. Participants ascended 370 meters over a total distance of 1.9 km, culminating at the cross under the Malghetto of Tuenno, where they were rewarded with a breathtaking view of the illuminated Val di Non.
Thrilling Race Results
The success of the race went to Alex Rigo of the Karpos/Maddalene Sky Team, who completed the course in an impressive time of 13.21. Luca Troncar followed closely behind with a time of 14.11, and Kevin Fantato finished in 14.20. Agata di Lorenzo was the first woman to cross the finish line, clocking in at 19.22, ahead of Laura Dalla Torre and Chiara Borghesi. Mario Busetti, the first under-18 participant, finished the race in 15.42, with Giacomo Lasta and Tommaso Mengon trailing closely behind.
