The Dallas Cowboys have signed cornerback Xavier Rhodes. The three-time Pro Bowler was released by the Buffalo Bills this week and will be on the Cowboys’ practice squad for the time being. But if Dallas needs him in the playoffs, they might always activate the former Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts player and add them to the roster. The 32-year-old veteran primarily brings experience with him.

Merry Christmas!
On Christmas Eve, most of the games of the 16th round of the world’s best football league took place in the USA. And this despite the fact that an ice storm is currently sweeping across the United States. Among other things, with up to minus 57 degrees on the east coast.

How cool — or crazy? Several Baltimore and Seattle players warm up shirtless before their game.
BIBBER GAME DAY NAKED ALERT!
Here you can read all the results of the match day.
Baltimore Ravens — Atlanta Falcons 17:9
The coldest home game in Ravens history! Minus 8 degrees and wind and cold of minus 16 degrees — so far the Bibber record was minus 7 degrees in 2017.
And what’s up with Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey? He actually warms up shirtless before the game.
The win requalifies the Ravens for the knockout stages following a year out of the playoffs. Thursday’s Jets loss and the Patriots’ loss to the Bengals are playing their cards once morest them.
Carolina Panthers — Detroit Lions 37:23
Damper in the fight for the playoffs for the Lions for the German-American Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Panthers keep their chances for the postseason with the win.
Kansas City Chiefs — Seattle Seahawks 24:10
Hot Guys: Some Seahawks players warm up shirtless. As if they want to show: We don’t mind the Sch… weather!

With the loss to the Saints, the Browns have no chance of making the playoffs. The Saints, catching up from a 10-0 deficit, can keep dreaming of the knockout phase.
New England Patriots — Cincinnatti Bengals 18:22
Bengals playmaker Joe Burrow throws three touchdown passes. The seventh win in a row for Cincinnati. However, the guests make it exciting following a 22-0 break lead.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft watches the game at the stadium along with Patriots fan Jerry Edmond. The owner personally invited him following a video of him being badly abused by a Raiders fan went viral.

Cool: Before the game, some Giants players were out at the Mall of America in Minnesota when a 19-year-old was killed in a shootout there. The players had to wait an hour in the country’s largest shopping mall before the all-clear was given. The team hotel was right next to the shopping center.
Chicago Bears — Buffalo Bills 13:35
The Bills win their third straight division title.
Tennessee Titans — Houston Texans 14:19
Due to power failure, the game starts an hour later. At minus 20 degrees, blackouts occur once more and once more in the game. The Titans issued a press release prior to the game stating that they would minimize the use of electricity around the stadium so that it would not negatively impact power supplies to the people of Nashville.
San Francisco 49ers — Washington Commanders 37:20
49ers quarterback newcomer Brock Purdy leads his team to their eighth straight win.
Purdy throws two long touchdown passes to George Kittle, who says followingwards, “He’s just great with football. He throws accurately but also allows us to run with the egg.”
Dallas Cowboys — Philadelphia Eagles 40:34
Second loss of the season for the Eagles, in which backup quarterback Gardner Minshew (for injured Jalen Hurts) throws two touchdown passes.
On the other side, Dak Prescott fired three touchdown passes and 347 yards. Josh Sweat pulls up a pick six with a 42-yard run.

NFL: Bad Accident! Football player rams opponent’s coach into clinic | Sports
What an NFL game day!
Everyone’s talking regarding the biggest comeback in football history by the Minnesota Vikings. But also regarding a bad accident before the Atlanta Falcons game.
In addition to the Vikings, the Kansas City Chiefs are now qualified for the playoffs alongside the Buffalo Bills, the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers.

New Orleans Saints — Atlanta Falcons 21:18
Excitement before the game: Dean Pees (73), the Falcons’ defensive coordinator, has to be wheeled out of the stadium before the game. What happened? Saints pro Rashid Shaheed crashed into him while warming up, hitting him in the head with his helmet following chasing a ball.
Pees is immediately treated by doctors following this collision at the 35-yard line. His neck is stabilized, then he is transported away. Officially, the team said he was “alert and responsive and was then transported to University Medical Center New Orleans for medical testing.”
It appears a member of Falcons staff was just carted off the field. Didn’t see what happened. The person was being attended to by medical staff for a few minutes.

Later in the evening the all-clear is given: Pees is discharged from the hospital.
Rashid Shaheed: “I was running backwards to catch a punt and kind of ran into him. I heard he’s okay. I am grateful for that. I am very sorry regarding what happened.”

Falcons-Headcoach Arthur Smith: “It was a scary moment before the game. We then called all the players together and prayed for him. We kept updating the players on how he was doing. Luckily Dean is fine.”
Double cheers: Juwan Johnson contributes two touchdowns to the Saints victory.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Cincinnati Bengals 23:34
Incomprehensible! Tom Brady and his Buccaneers lose a 17-0 lead. Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Ja’marr Chase and Mitchell Wilcox are turning things around with their touchdowns.
Brady is Brady once more, sitting furiously on the touchline while his defense takes a bad beating. Eighth loss of the season for the Bucs…
Denver Broncos — Arizona Cardinals 24:15
A duel without two stars: Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is out with a torn cruciate ligament, while Broncos playmaker Russell Wilson is sidelined with a concussion.
Brett Rypien runs for Wilson — and leads the Broncos to a deserved win!
Las Vegas Raiders — New England Patriots 30:24
And another catch up! The Patriots come back following a 3:17 lead and take a 24:17 lead. The preliminary decision? No!
In the hot final phase, the Raiders manage a touchdown by Keelan Cole 32 seconds before the end. However, following a minute-long investigation by the video referee, whether Cole was minimally out of bounds.
But the Raiders don’t want to risk anything, don’t do a two-point conversion, instead they equalize with an extra point.
And then this! The Patriots try trick play with backward passes. This is unique! And goes once in the pants! Chandler Jones win on the last play. The clock already says :00….

Los Angeles Chargers — Tennessee Titans 17:14
Shock at the beginning: Titans playmaker Ryan Tannehill is thrown to the ground and then crawls across the pitch. He then limps into the doctors’ tent for an examination. And then you see him being driven out of the stadium…
Irres Ding: Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert fires the ball into the end zone – but the egg is intercepted. And how! Roger McCreary slaps the leather to teammate Joshua Kalu as he jumps out of the field. A stroke of genius! Otherwise the interception would have been invalid.

Tannehill comes back — and even manages a rushing touchdown with 48 seconds to go.
The Chargers field Cameron Dicker. Dicker the Kicker! He hits from 43 yards. His third game winner in his rookie season.
Chicago Bears — Philadelphia Eagles 20:25
What a crazy run! Bears quarterback Justin Fields shrugs off an opponent, pulls off an incredible run — and blasts into the end zone at full throttle! Unfortunately no touchdown because his foot off the field was short.

Tough work for the Eagles, with quarterback Jalen Hurts hitting the touchdown three-pointer. Philadelphia clinches 13th win of the season.
Houston Texans — Kansas City Chiefs 24:30
Premiere: For the first time in his NFL career, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is playing in Texas as a native Texan. The last time he played in his home state was on November 25, 2016, when he threw for six touchdowns in his final game once morest Baylor for collegiate Texas Tech.
In his old home, Mahomes manages a touchdown run.
Crime 12 seconds before the end: Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker pulls from 51 yards — and misses! Insanity! Overtime instead of Chiefs victory!
With oh and noisy, the Chiefs make things clear in overtime and are in the playoffs thanks to Jerick McKinnon’s touchdown.
Jacksonville Jaguars — Dallas Cowboys 40:34
It’s catch-up game day! The Cowboys are already 27:10 before the Jaguars turn the thing around! Zay Jones scored three touchdowns once morest his dad Robert’s ex-team (3x Super Bowl Champion).
Five seconds left to play: The Jaguars make it within field goal range. Riley Patterson comes in from 48 yards — and slams the egg between the posts. 34:34 — Overtime!

Hammer: Rayshawn Jenkins crowns the Jaguars comeback with his touchdown to win – and with Cowboys possession! But quarterback Dak Prescott’s pass is intercepted and punished with a run into the end zone.
New York Jets — Detroit Lions 17:20
rusty? Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, back from his bench break because Mik White is injured, throws a high ball in the third quarter — into the opponent’s arms!

Wilson gets better and better in the final phase. But not enough to win!
The Jets can make it into overtime with a field goal from 58 yards with a second to go! But Greg Zuerlein shoots past!
Carolina Panthers — Pittsburgh Steelers 16:24
Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and Mitchell Trubisky score touchdowns for the Steelers to secure the win.
