A disheartening scene unfolded at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday as a significant number of home fans departed the match against Crystal Palace during the first half, following a rapid three-goal burst from the visitors. The mass exodus occurred between the 40th and 45+7th minutes, leaving many seats empty as Crystal Palace took a commanding 3-1 lead in the Premier League fixture.
The dramatic shift in momentum began with a 34th-minute goal from Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke, briefly giving the home side an advantage. However, Crystal Palace quickly responded with a flurry of goals, courtesy of a brace from Ismaïla Sarr and a strike from Jørgen Strand Larsen, completely turning the tide before halftime. This collapse proved too much for many Tottenham supporters, who chose to leave the stadium before the second half commenced.
