Carl Nassib is back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The defensive end, who played for the Bucs between 2018 and 2019 and most recently played for the Las Vegas Raiders, has signed a one-year contract in Tampa. This is reported by “ESPN”. In June 2021, the 29-year-old was the first active NFL player to admit his homosexuality and received a lot of encouragement for it. After getting less and less game time with the Raiders in the preseason, Nassib became a free agent in the offseason. After a long search for a new team, the return to the Buccaneers follows.
Dismissal
The New Orleans Saints have signed Kiko Alonso. The franchise announced this via Twitter. The 31-year-old last played in the NFL in 2019, also with the Saints. However, Alonso is said to have kept fit ever since. In his last season so far, he had 31 tackles in 13 games. The linebacker had his best time between 2016 and 2018 with the Miami Dolphins. In 2013, the Buffalo Bills drafted him at position 46. A year later he switched to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kansas City will hold Orlando Brown for at least a year
Orlando Brown remains with the Kansas City Chiefs (for now). The offensive tackle will accept the franchise tag offered to him. His agent Michael Portner confirmed this to several NFL insiders. This means the 26-year-old will stay with the Kansas City Chiefs for at least another year and earn around $16.7 million. Brown joins the team shortly following the start of training camp. This is very important to him, as it sets the course for the coming season.
