When Stuttgart’s new TT kicks on the turbo, the Audi TT Roadster can pack up…

Tiago Tomás (19) – the new VfB winter signing – raced across the pitch at a top speed of 35.6 km/h on Saturday once morest Augsburg. He was the fastest Bundesliga player on Matchday 27.

On top of that. With his hammer goal to 3: 2 once morest Augsburg (85th), he put an entire city in ecstasy.

The Portuguese GIANT!

VfB sports director Sven Mislintat, who loaned the striker from Sporting Lisbon until the summer of 2023: “Tiago is good for us with his whole style of play. He has a lot of intensity, has depth, follows suit, accelerates. He also has good one-on-ones, can cross and can score. He’s only 19 years old, but he’s already playing very maturely. After his performance once morest Augsburg I say: Thank you, Tiago.”

The U21 national player even had five appearances in the Champions League in the first half of the season, storming with Sporting once morest Dortmund, Ajax Amsterdam and Besiktas Istanbul.

FC Bayern Munich: Julian Nagelsmann jokes about Zoff with Lothar Matthäus – Bundesliga

After all, someone is trying to lighten the mood between Bayern and Lothar Matthäus (60)!

When coach Julian Nagelsmann (34) came to the Sky interview following the clear 4-0 win once morest Union, he caused an unexpected laugh in conversation with moderator Sebastian Hellmann (54) and the record national player.

The topic is the contract of Robert Lewandowski (33/runs until 2023). Nagelsmann and ex-Bayern star Matthäus agree that Bayern must do everything they can to keep the Pole longer.

Hellmann: “You agree on that. You’re both wearing green jackets.” In fact, the Bayern coach’s olive-green jacket looks very similar to those of the two TV people.

The cool Nagelsmann counter: “Extra because of you, so I don’t always stand out like that. And we form a unit here at the table, which wasn’t often the case lately.” Nagelsmann then laughs heartily, adding: “That was just for fun.”

Background: the public Zoff between Matthäus and Bayern boss Oliver Kahn (52).

In SPORT BILD, the Sky expert sharply criticized the Bayern CEO for Lewandowski: “If you haven’t contacted Lewandowski’s side up to now, I find that disrespectful. That would have been unthinkable under Hoeneß or Rummenigge. The interpersonal relationship is no longer there!”

Kahn’s counterattack: “Unfortunately, Lothar has been interpreting his role as a good football expert more and more as a source of headlines. He would be well advised not to talk regarding subjects for which he lacks any insight.”

Before Bayern’s game once morest Union, Matthäus adds: “When Oliver Kahn says I don’t have an inside view, he’s right on the one hand. But I’ve been in the business for so long that I’ve been through one or two things in life or I realize that I can form my own opinion and have my own opinion.”

Before that, there had already been trouble between Matthäus and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (45). It was regarding the transfers of Dayot Upamecano (23) and Lucas Hernandez (26), who, according to Matthäus, lack quality.

Hertha BSC: Totally exhausted on the ground – 1st professional collapses under Magath – Bundesliga

On the second day of Magath training, the first day was blown away…

Hertha left-back Fredrik Björkan (23) had to be taken from the training ground in a golf cart on Wednesday.

The first Hertha star goes limp under Magath!

What happened?

At the beginning of the Wednesday followingnoon session (3.30 p.m.), Hertha’s new coach Felix Magath (68) had a sprint exercise carried out to activate the team.

Four groups had to sprint to cones at different distances and take off their bibs. Several passes were completed. After the last one, Björkan needed a break. While his teammates were already heading towards the main square to start ball training, the Norwegian had to catch his breath.

Full steam ahead: Björkan during the sprint exercise in followingnoon training on Wednesday. After that it didn’t go any further for himPhoto: Matthew Koch

He was gasping for air on his knees. Magath saw that his left-back was obviously having problems and went over to him. Björkan had to sit down and was then treated by physiotherapist Jürgen Lange. Among other things, he put a cold rag on his neck and Björkan’s feet up. Apparently circulatory problems. Björkan is said to have had gastrointestinal problems before.

The training (ended at 4.30 p.m.), Björkan might not continue. At 4:12 p.m., he was taken in a golf cart towards the dressing room. He might sit up once more, but was quite pale.

Björkan arrived in the winter break from Norway club Bodø/Glimt, with whom he won the championship in December. Because the season there is held in calendar year mode, the fast full-back has been playing without a break for more than a year.

In terms of player type, he actually fits into Magath’s system very well, so far he has impressed with dynamic performances, in which he worked hard on the left flank.

But he still has to get used to the tough Magath training…
