On Saturday, a crash occurred involving a community member and a federal agent. Elgin police confirmed they received a call reporting the incident and added that the person involved had fled toward the Maple Lane area. Later, several residents took to the streets to demand that federal officers identify themselves and show an arrest warrant. After noon, tempers began to flare.
