Jakarta – Riefian Fajarsyah, the singer known as Ifan Seventeen, has been appointed Managing director of PT Production Film Negara (PFN) on Friday, March 14, 2025. This proclamation has sparked public discussion, and Ifan has addressed concerns regarding his qualifications for the role.

Salary is paid proportional, for 6 months many salary friends are incomplete,” Ifan noted, vowing to address the salary issues promptly.

Ifan Seventeen: thanks for having me, Sarah. I understand the public’s perspective. However, my involvement in the film industry isn’t as new as some might think. Since 2019, I’ve been running my own production house. It’s been a significant part of my professional life.

Ifan Seventeen: Absolutely. In 2021, I executive produced a film for an OTT platform owned by the Indonesian government, which became a considerable success. And before that,in 2020,I was also an executive producer on a film called ‘Yesterday.’ I’ve remained active in the production house as then.

Ifan Seventeen: It’s disheartening to learn that many employees have faced incomplete salary payments for up to six months. It’s hard to expect quality work when people are struggling to make ends meet. My immediate focus is to ensure fair and timely compensation for everyone at PFN.
