Berlusconi hospitalized after declaring he will not run for Italian presidency
Milan – Archyde.com
Today, Sunday, an informed source said that former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was hospitalized in Milan, a day following he announced that he had decided not to run for the presidency.
The Italian news agency, ANSA, reported that Berlusconi, aged 85, was admitted to hospital for routine medical examinations.
It was not immediately clear when that happened, and a Berlusconi spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
And Berlusconi decided, yesterday, Saturday, not to run for the presidency, before a vote that begins on Monday in Parliament.
Berlusconi, who served as prime minister for four states, underwent major heart surgery in 2016, also recovered from prostate cancer, and was hospitalized several times over the past year, following being infected with the emerging “Corona” virus.
