Jakarta – Achmad Muchtasyar has been appointed as the new President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), commonly known as Pelindo, the company announced Monday. The appointment marks a significant leadership change for the state-owned port operator, which manages key ports across the Indonesian archipelago.
Muchtasyar replaces Arief Suhartono, who previously held the position of President Director. Alongside the change at the top, Drajat Sulistyo has been named as Pelindo’s new Deputy President Director, a newly created role, according to a statement released by the company.
Several other directorial positions have also been filled. Farid Padang will serve as the Director of Commerce, Prasetyadi as Director of Operations, Prasetyo as Director of Business Development, and Hendri Ginting as Director of Institutional Relations. The composition of Pelindo’s Board of Commissioners remains unchanged.
Prior to his appointment, Muchtasyar held several key positions within Indonesian state-owned enterprises and government ministries. He served as Director of Infrastructure and Technology at PT PGN Tbk from May 2021 to November 2023, and as Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) from January 2025 to February 2026. Most recently, he was Deputy Director General at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, serving from July 2025 until his appointment at Pelindo.
Muchtasyar’s academic background includes a Professional Engineer degree from Gadjah Mada University (2023), a Bachelor of Law degree from Bhayangkara University (2020), a Master of Industrial Engineering from the University of New Haven (2000), and a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering from Trisakti University (1997).
The current composition of Pelindo’s Board of Directors is as follows: Achmad Muchtasyar (President Director), Drajat Sulistyo (Deputy President Director), Dwi Fatan Lilyana (Director of Human Resources and General Affairs), Boy Robyanto (Director of Risk Management), Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja (Director of Finance), Muhammad Suriawan Wakan (Director of Engineering), Farid Padang (Director of Commerce), Prasetyo (Director of Business Development), Hendri Ginting (Director of Institutional Relations), and Prasetyadi (Director of Operations).
The Board of Commissioners consists of Agus Suhartono (Chairman), Suntana (Vice Chairman), Jodi Mahardi, Elwi Danil, Rakhman Fiadhy Kurniawan, Maximus Puguh Djiwanto, Arif Poyuono, and Ilhamsyah.
