Finance sets the date for launching the salaries for the month of March

The ministry said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that “the Ministry of Finance will start launching salary financing for the current month next Sunday, March 12, 2023, following completing all procedures related to the exchange regulation process.”

And she added: “The spending units in the ministries, non-related entities, and the governorates must adhere to the monthly financing requirements, provided that the final review balances for the year 2022 are presented, taking into account compliance with the approved salary financing schedule.”

Fuel keeps pace with the hysteria of the dollar… The Ministry of Energy told Al-Nahar: The official schedule has not been released yet

This morning, a table of fuel prices spread, which later turned out to be incorrect, according to what the Ministry of Energy, An-Nahar, and the representative of fuel distributors in Lebanon, Fadi Abu Shaqra, reported. As confirmed A member of the Gas Station Owners Syndicate, George Al-Barakis, told An-Nahar that “the fuel schedule that was issued is unofficial.”


In the context, the advisor at the Ministry of Energy and Water, Rita Shaheen, confirmed to Al-Nahar that the official schedule has not yet been released.

The “National Information Agency” had published the new schedule of fuel prices, which showed that gasoline exceeded one million pounds.

The prices came according to the table, which was spread as follows:

Gasoline 95 octane: 1,050,000 Lebanese pounds

Gasoline 98 octane: 1,078,000 Lebanese pounds

Diesel: 1,025,000 Lebanese pounds

Gas: 655,000 Lebanese pounds.

In addition, the fuel stations in Akkar governorate closed their doors, preventing their owners from filling any oil derivatives, noting that fuel is available in most of the tanks.

The exchange rate of the dollar is moving at a steady pace towards 56,000 pounds, following the insane jump it witnessed yesterday, from 53,000 in the morning to 55,500 pounds in the evening.

And following the black market opened at a price of 55,800 pounds, the dollar rose once more, some time ago, to cross the 56,000 threshold.

In the context, the “tuk-tuk” drivers cut off the international road at the roundregarding in Benin al-Abdah at the southern entrance to Akkar governorate, in protest once morest the poor living conditions and the high prices.

Protesters also blocked Al-Muhammarah Road at the Nahr Al-Bared Bridge, and the army intervened to resolve problems between passers-by and protesters, and the road was reopened.

In addition, the owners of the vans blocked the southern entrance to the city of Baalbek, the locality of Al-Jabali, in both directions, in protest once morest the high cost of fuel and the deterioration of conditions.

Protesters also blocked the Beddawi highway with trucks for the same reason.

A statement of the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, “The Volunteer Directorate in the Ministry of Interior announces the opening of the door for volunteering in the ranks of the Internal Security Forces in the capacity of (policeman) to the staff of the Border Guard Forces / First Region, with (2621) policemen and for all governorates (from Including the governorates of the Kurdistan region, Erbil – Dohuk – Sulaymaniyah).

A statement by the ministry’s media, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, “The Minister of Trade, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy, announced the launch of cutting and preparing the food basket for those covered by the social protection network and those with limited income, as of next Sunday, corresponding to the twenty-second of January.”
For her part, the General Manager of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade, Lama Hashem Al-Moussawi, said, “In implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 349 of 2022, the distribution of the food basket will be launched for those segments mentioned in the decision.”
He pointed out that “the materials will include the current food basket materials in addition to the additional materials, which are (1 liter of oil – 1 kg of sugar – 200 gm of tea – 250 gm of milk – 1 kg of zero flour)”, stressing that “the staff of the foodstuff company in all locations in Baghdad and the provinces are mobilized and during Official holidays to finish its preparations to start completing cutting and processing.
In its statement, the ministry called on food agents to review the cutting centers in Baghdad and the governorates for the purpose of cutting the shares of the covered citizens.
