Mumford & Sons are embarking on a massive 2026 North American tour in support of their newly released album, Prizefighter, which debuted today, February 20th, through Glassnote Records. The tour promises to be the band’s most ambitious yet, with stops including first-time performances at iconic stadiums like Wrigley Field in Chicago on June 11th and Fenway Park in Boston on June 22nd. The Prizefighter tour kicks off June 2nd in Vancouver, BC and will also include appearances at several festivals throughout the summer and fall.
The new album, co-written and co-produced with Aaron Dessner of The National, features collaborations with a diverse range of artists including Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton, and Gigi Perez. Dessner previously worked with Mumford & Sons on their 2015 chart-topping album, Wilder Mind, and described the reunion as a natural progression after reconnecting in New York in May 2024. According to Dessner’s Instagram post, the collaboration felt organic, allowing him to “join their band for a year” and contribute to songs that came “quickly and fearlessly.”
Tickets for the North American leg of the tour go on sale to the general public on February 27th, following a pre-sale for AGORA members starting February 24th. A limited number of student-priced tickets will also be available for select shows, purchasable in person at the box office on February 27th while supplies last. Fans can also explore a variety of VIP packages offering premium tickets and exclusive experiences, available through vipnation.com.
Prizefighter: A Collaborative Effort
Prizefighter marks a significant moment for Mumford & Sons, showcasing their continued evolution and willingness to collaborate. The album’s creation was spurred by a chance encounter between Dessner and the band at New York’s Electric Lady studios. Dessner shared on Instagram that he and the band quickly realized they had a unique opportunity to create something special together. He specifically highlighted “Conversation with My Son” as a particularly meaningful track, noting his contribution of an acoustic guitar solo inspired by Jerry Garcia.
The band is also releasing a music video for “The Banjo Song,” featuring dancers sourced from attendees of events hosted by Streets of Soul, a Bristol, U.K.-based events company. This reflects Mumford & Sons’ commitment to community and connection, themes that have been central to their work since the beginning.
