BUSINESS – August 7, 2025 – Despite the economic stagnation, Mexico’s Hot Sale 2025 saw a remarkable surge in sales, with consumers spending a total of 42,725 million pesos. This represents a 23.7% increase from the previous year’s figure of 34,536 million pesos. According to the Mexican Association of Online Sales (AMVO), this year’s Hot Sale was the catalyst for 43% of internet users to make purchases online.
Women and Millennials Lead the Way
The demographic of shoppers was diverse but saw a growth among millennials. Women made up 54% of the shoppers, and the average age of buyers was 36 years. The preferred payment method remained bank transactions, with 86% of shoppers using their bank cards.
Booming Businesses
Hot Sale 2025 brought substantial benefits to participating companies. Over 700 businesses saw a significant boost, with 8 out of 10 meeting or exceeding their sales targets. The top categories in sales included moda (fashion) at 28%, beauty and personal care (20%), and electronics (18%).
Travel and Small Businesses Flourish
The travel sector represented 13% of total sales, indicating consumers were keen on more than just products. Remarkably, 87% of sales were facilitated by small businesses, highlighting the significant impact on the local economy.

Consumer satisfaction levels were unprecedented, with a 94% satisfaction rate. Most purchases were for personal use, and over 70% were delivered to homes. Reports against regulatory authorities remained minimal, recognizing the responsible online shopping practices.
