Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Medical Commission chief Dr. Sohail Saleem has resigned from his post over the injury of Pakistani fast bowler Ehsanullah.

Fast bowler Ehsanullah represented Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2023, following which he was given the first ODI match once morest New Zealand by the Pakistani team in April 2023. But due to injury, he might not play the second match.
Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen had then claimed that PCB’s medical department might not properly diagnose the fracture in Ehsanullah’s hand, due to which he might not recover. The PCB had also sent him to the UK for treatment last month.
After the allegations leveled at PCB’s medical department, a three-member committee comprising Dr. Rana Dalvez, Dr. Mamrez Naqshband and Prof. Javed Akram was formed to investigate the matter.

This committee has submitted its investigation report to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
In a statement issued by PCB, it has been said that during the investigation, Ehsanullah’s case history, test reports and interviews of PCB members have been conducted.
“Ihsanullah should continue physiotherapy to heal his right elbow and shoulder,” the inquiry committee said in its report. If they don’t make a full recovery in six to 12 months, then surgery will be considered the last option.’
Who is Ehsanullah?
Ehsanullah bowled well in PSL 2023, surprising everyone with his pace and bounce.
Ehsanullah, who plays for Multan Sultans, has also made his T20 and ODI debut for Pakistan, but he suffered an injury just a few months following his debut.
Ehsanullah, who hails from Matta area of Swat, has played four T20Is and one ODI match for the Pakistan team, taking a total of six wickets.
Ehsanullah has played 14 matches for Multan Sultans, in which he has taken 23 wickets.
