This project addresses the long-standing issues with the two-thirds portion of the plant, including the changing rooms on the ground floor and the gyms on the first floor. The offices have highlighted the urgent need for action due to the permanent infiltration of rainwater from the roof, which has caused significant damage to the concrete covers of the main beams, the roof slab, and the wooden flooring. Furthermore, the disintegration of the roof has had severe consequences on the rooms underneath the south side roof, including the space intended for spectators.
The offices will shortly identify the company responsible for carrying out the intervention, despite criticism from the minority regarding the timing of the project. The redevelopment of the ‘middle ground’ is estimated to cost 400 thousand euros, with 100 thousand euros provided by the Marche region. This investment is part of a broader effort to revamp the facility, following the municipality’s intervention in December 2022, which involved removing the old covering and installing a new wooden roof, as well as renovating the rooms and equipment of the indoor swimming pool. The total investment for the previous intervention was 1.03 million euros, with 260 thousand euros provided by the Ministerial Department for Sport. The current project marks a significant milestone in the transformation of the outdoor pool.
