The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an alert for heat wave, rains and storm in the province this week.
According to the spokesperson of PDMA Punjab, there is a possibility of 3 to 5 degree Celsius increase in temperature during the day time of May 8 to 10.
During this time, dusty winds and thundershowers may occur in most districts of Punjab, while there is a possibility of stormy rain in South Punjab on May 10-11.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that rain with wind, hail and thunder is expected in different parts of the country from April 25 to 29, while the NDMA has directed the concerned agencies to be on alert to deal with the emergency situation.
According to the Department of Meteorology, there is a fear of flood situation in some districts of Nushki, Pashin, Harnai, Zhob, Barkhan, Gwadar, Kech, Awaran during April 26-27.
During April 27-28, floods are expected in local rivers of Dir, Swat, Chitral, Mansehra and Kohistan due to heavy rain.
Landslides are also expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit due to heavy rain during April 27-29.
