The second day of the eighteenth Grand Prix of the Motorcycle Road Racing Championship witnessed a thrilling combined program of final free practice, qualifying rounds and the frist tissot Sprint Race on Saturday. Adrian Fernandez of Leopard racing set a new qualifying record to secure pole position in the Moto3 category. Diogo Moreira, competing for Italtrans Racing Team, also achieved a record-breaking performance in Moto2, while Filip Salač finished eighteenth. Simultaneously occurring, Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia Racing delivered a stunning performance, claiming both Pole Position and victory in the MotoGP Sprint, narrowing the gap to the championship leader to just twenty points.
Moto3™ Qualifying Results
Qualifying for the Moto3 race began with a ten-minute delay stemming from technical issues on the circuit, which had previously impacted Friday’s initial Moto2 free practice session. Jose Antonio Rueda, riding for Red Bull KTM ajo, initially led the training with a time of 1’37.357 seconds. Luca Lunetta of Sic58 Squadra Corse followed closely, with David Muñoz of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP securing the third position.
The second free training session saw Adrian Fernandez, on his Leopard Racing machine, take the led with a blistering lap time of 1’37.216 seconds. David Muñoz closely trailed, just three thousandths of a second behind. José Antonio Rueda and Luca Lunetta rounded out the top four, with Maximo Quiles of Cfmoto Valresa Aspar Team completing the top five. Unfortunately, Marco Morelli of Gryd-Mlav racing and Arbi Aditama of Honda Team Asia both experienced crashes during the session.
