ROSE GARDEN>>Playful People Productions is offering Junior theater classes for performers ages 4-7 this summer. these one-week camps will include summer camp craft and games, with a performance by campers and crew at the end of each week.
Kids will create an original short play, “Secret Life of Snow People,” monday-Friday, July 7-11, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. A final performance,with props and costume pieces made in camp,is set for Friday, July 11.
In Fairytale Theatre camp, Playful People crew will help kids create an original story, complete with props and costume pieces, and perform for friends and families.The camp runs Monday-Friday, July 14-18, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with a final performance on Friday, July 18.

Musical trip through Spain
Symphony San Jose is closing its season with “España,” a musical trip through Spain led by Spanish conductor Jose Luis Gomez and featuring Gabriela Lena Frank’s “Escaramuza” and Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez” performed by Spanish guitarist Rafael Aguirre. Works by French composer Ravel and Russia’s Rimsky-Korsakov will reveal how each portrayed Spanish music through their distinct writing styles. A pre-concert experience features Spanish tapas, sangria and flamenco dancers.
