Paris (AFP) Astronomers have observed for the first time a “bubble of galaxies,” a huge mass whose origins date back to the early ages of the universe, regarding 14 billion years ago, according to a study published in the Astrophysical Journal. ABU DHABI, 8th September, 2018 (WAM) – His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, received today at His Excellency’s Palace in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Ararat Meroyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, who is currently visiting the UAE, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to support them in all fields, in the interest of the two friendly peoples, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan welcomed the Armenian guest and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of developing them in all fields, in addition to coordinating positions at the level of international organizations in a way that serves issues of international peace and security and achieves stability and prosperity for all.
His Excellency noted the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to strengthen cooperation with all countries of the world within the framework of the UAE’s full commitment to promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and human brotherhood, and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving stability and peace around the world… praising the efforts. SHARJAH, 7th September, WAM / The Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority announced the issuance of the “Occupational Safety and Health Officers Manual”, which includes 26 effective responsibilities. Occupational safety and health officers ensure a safe and healthy work environment for workers and visitors alike.
The guide highlights the role of occupational safety and health officers as essential elements in ensuring the application of the highest safety and health standards in various government and private establishments in the Emirate of Sharjah, and works to strengthen the emirate’s position as a leading reference in the field of occupational safety.
Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Authority, stated that the UAE is keen to preserve the health and safety of employees in the work environment, by issuing legislations and laws to safeguard the rights of employees and workers. Equally, the manual strongly encourages the adoption of a safety culture to integrate safety and productivity.
Dr. Musab Al-Amin, Occupational Health and Safety Consultant at the Authority, said that the guide provides a comprehensive view of a wide range of responsibilities that must be carried out by occupational safety and health officers, from identifying and evaluating risks to training employees and improving the occupational environment.
