The Meteorological Authority announced the now observed temperatures in a number of regions in the governorates of the Republic.
The meteorologist said, in a note on her Facebook page, a while ago, that temperatures exceed 40 degrees in most parts, with a decrease in humidity.
According to the meteorological stations of the General Authority of Meteorology, the following temperatures have now been recorded:
1- Cairo (41 degrees).
2- Alexandria (39 degrees).
3- Luxor (44 degrees).
4- Aswan (43 degrees).
5- Hurghada (40 degrees).
The Meteorological Authority indicated that the temperatures are measured in the shade, according to the international instructions issued by the World Meteorological Organization.
The authority called on citizens to drink a lot of cold drinks and liquids and not to be exposed to direct sunlight.

The Meteorological Authority said that a severe heat wave is hitting the Middle East; Pointing out that with the arrival of summer, the influence of India’s seasonal depression extends to include the countries of the Middle East (Kuwait – Iraq – Iran – the Arabian Peninsula) to raise temperatures dramatically.
The authority added in a statement today: The city of Jahra in Kuwait recorded a temperature of more than 50 degrees Celsius, and its impact is expected to extend to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
It causes a strong heat wave on it, but it is less severe than its neighbors due to its geographical location.
And she continued, “With the passage of India’s seasonal depression over the Mediterranean, it works to modify the air mass, and thus adjust the temperature, but the humidity levels increase, which increases the feeling of the weather.”
The authority said that it is expected that Greater Cairo will record temperatures in the coming period, starting from 38:37 degrees Celsius, in the coming period, exceeding the 40 degrees Celsius barrier in southern Upper Egypt.

The Meteorological Authority warned of the weather tomorrow, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, and said that it tends to heat on the northern coasts, and moderate weather prevails at night on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and the south of the country, and it is pleasant at night on the northern coasts.
Meteorologists expected wind activity to continue in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, southern Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.
The meteorologists warned once morest water mist, which forms in the early hours of the morning (4-7 a.m.) on agricultural roads, highways and close to water bodies, and called on motorists to drive calmly to prevent accidents due to the low horizontal visibility of the mist spreading and for the safety of pedestrians.
As for the expected temperatures tomorrow, Tuesday:
Cairo and Lower Egypt 36-22
Northern Coasts 28-20
South Sinai 39-26
North Upper Egypt 40-26
South Upper Egypt 43-26
The Meteorological Authority issued a number of important advice to citizens during the heat wave that the country is witnessing during these days and affects all parts of the Republic.
1- Increase fluid intake.
2- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, especially during peak hours (from 12: 3 pm).
3- It is preferable to wear loose and cotton clothes.
4- During the coming period, we can wear summer clothes during the day and night.
