Transit traffic between Brussels and Ghent will be diverted via Antwerp. Cars departing from Ghent in the direction of the capital are also advised to pass through Antwerp, given that traffic in this direction will only be on one traffic lane instead of three with a complete interruption of up to 15 minutes.
Concretely, the E40 will be closed between the Grand-Bigard interchange and the Affligem ramp this Monday and Tuesday between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. towards Ghent. Same thing in Ternat.
Local traffic will be redirected via the N9 to Asse and the N208 to Affligem. During the installation of the gantries, the road towards Brussels will also be closed near the work area.

The AWV previously installed 9 gates between Grand-Bigard and Ternat to improve safety and traffic flow on the motorway.
