During this period, the General Authority for Entertainment organized the world’s largest competition for the Holy Qur’an and the call to prayer, as well as issuing 11,136 licenses for various entertainment and support activities. The authority also licensed over 470 entertainment destinations and more than 1,402 restaurants across 42 cities and governorates in the Kingdom. Additionally, more than 3,738 establishments in recreational and support activities were licensed.

The General Authority for Entertainment held 8,732 events during this period, including concerts, live performances in restaurants and cafes, and entertainment shows. The events totaled more than 76,000 days, with more than 1,381 concerts. The theatrical sector saw over 82 plays and 350 theatrical performances, with more than 6,610 performers participating in events and live shows.

The General Entertainment Authority sponsored a number of television programs and series, including Ramiz, Tash Ma Tash, Saudi Idol, and Body Guard.
