Vivo activates 5G in 8 more cities in MG, RJ and SP; see the neighborhoods

A Vivo, one of the largest mobile operators in Brazil, announced this Tuesday (15) the activation of the 5G signal in eight more cities in Southeast Brazil. The cities contemplated with the new technology are: Score (MG), Juiz de Fora (MG), Uberlandia (MG), Campinas (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), São José dos Campos (SP), Sorocaba (SP) and Duque de Caxias (RJ).
Vivo activates 5G in 8 more cities in MG and SP
According to the company, the initial coverage of the 5G signal includes some neighborhoods in these cities and the company is already expanding to other regions. Vivo reinforced that 5G is available to all the company’s customers, with no extra charge for access, as long as they are within the coverage area and have a compatible device.
With the activation of 5G in these cities, Vivo further expands its offer, which already includes all the capitals of the country and 12 cities in different states. The operator communicated that it follows the schedule of Anatel, the National Telecommunications Agency, which determines the release of connectivity in municipalities with more than 500,000 inhabitants.
Currently, the operator has more than 4.9 million customers with devices that support the new 5G. Vivo reinforces that it is committed to taking 5G to more cities and regions of the country, so that more and more Brazilians can enjoy the new technology.
Which neighborhoods now have Vivo’s 5G?
Vivo’s 5G has arrived in eight more cities in southeastern Brazil. In these cities, a total of nine neighborhoods in Minas Gerais are being contemplated with the operator’s new technology, in addition to five in Rio de Janeiro and another 38 neighborhoods within the state of São Paulo.
