The French left wing has experienced several upheavals in three years. Lambasted by Corinne Deacon for her weak influence on the game at the 2019 World Cup, Eugénie Le Sommer, unshakable in this position during her start of term, no longer fits into her plans and has not been called up since April 2021. Tired to play on the side, Amel Majri had been promoted higher following the World Cup and was moving forward as a matter of course, but a serious injury to the left knee and then the announcement of her pregnancy put an end to hopes of seeing her this summer.
