Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner concluded the group stage of the World Championships in Tlaxcala, Mexico with a third victory in three matches. The 2023 European champions won 21-19 23-25 16-14 in front of Tina Graudina/Anastasija Samoilova, who had also already qualified for the round of 16 before this game.
Hüberli/Brunner needed five match points to defeat the Latvian pair, who dismissed three in the second set. The Zougoise and the Schwyzoise demonstrated all their strength of character in the tie-break, where they were led 13-10 before winning six of the last seven points.
