Team USA won the medal count at the 2023 World Championships in Athletics, which took place in Budapest.
The American team won 12 gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals. The second place in the World Cup was taken by the Canadian team (4-2-0), the third was the team of Spain (4-1-0).
The World Championship in Budapest was held from 19 to 27 August.
In March 2022, the World Athletics Association (World Athletics) banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
