Tech for Future 2023 award: Oorion, the app that changes the lives of visually impaired people

More than 1.7 million people are visually impaired in France. For them, identifying and finding everyday objects can be a headache. This is why OOrion offers an application to help them locate their keyring, their headphones or a simple switch, thanks to an image processing algorithm directly connected to the camera of their smartphone. The Lyon startup wins the special “Impact” prize in the Tech for Future 2023 competition, organized by La Tribune. Portrait.
