Augusta, Ga. – Authorities Responded to a series of shootings Sunday afternoon in the Meadowbrook Drive area of Richmond County, resulting in the death of a 14-year-old and injuries to three other juveniles.
Deputies Initially Dispatched to the Advance Auto Parts parking lot on Deans Bridge Road following reports of a shooting. the incident quickly expanded to include a second location at a nearby Texaco station.
The Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Deandre Howell, 14, who succumbed to at least one gunshot wound at the Advance auto Parts location.He Was Pronounced Dead at 6:05 p.m.
Three other Victims Were Transported to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators Reported that one victim is currently in critical condition, while the remaining two are listed as stable.
Authorities Confirmed that two victims were shot at Advance Auto Parts, and two others sustained injuries at the Texaco station. A Vehicle Was Also Found With Gunshot Damage in a separate parking lot.
Multiple Arrests Have Been Made in connection with the shootings, but the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for additional suspects in the vicinity of Meadowbrook and Deans Bridge Road. The Scene Was Cleared Around 8:30 p.m.
