This is the third time that images of violence between young people have been broadcast on social networks in just a few weeks. The new footage shows two youths hitting a victim. The young man receives punches, knee strikes and blows to the head. The incident probably took place on Thursday at the corner of Kanaalstraat and Oostkade, opposite Zelzate town hall, writes the Nieuwsblad. The incident has not yet been reported, but local police are already looking for the perpetrators and the victim.

Another video, released in August, showed, among other things, how a boy had to kiss the feet of a group of young people and was beaten. Thanks to this, the East Flanders public prosecutor’s office was able to identify around four suspects. One young person was placed in an institution closed by the Youth Court and two others were placed under house arrest.
Two demonstrations were organized in Zelzate at the end of August following this violence.
