Kottakkall: People left their houses in panic following hearing a terrible sound from underground. The incident took place in Amapara Chinakkal, Chenguvetti, Swagatamad, Palathara, Ampalavattam, Clari, Kozhichena, Kozhur and Cherussola areas in Kottakal region.
On Tuesday night at ten o’clock and 10.05 a roaring sound was heard. The local people were scared when the noise occurred at two times.
This was followed by a sharper voice once more. At first the locals thought it was lightning. It is said that some people felt bruises on their bodies and in some places their houses were cracked. Many people came out of their houses thinking that the earth was shaking.
