A terrifying video clip showed a shark attacking a fisherman in the Everglades National Park in Florida, where the fish bit his hand and pulled him into the water.
The shocking video shows the fish jumping out of the water to bite the fisherman’s hand, then pulling him from the boat into the water, and the fisherman’s colleagues worked to return him to the boat.
The incident was filmed by another person on the boat and posted on Instagram, warning others of the dangers of dealing with sharks.
The fisherman was taken to hospital for treatment due to a shark bite.
The National Park Service advised visitors to be wary of wildlife in the parks, including alligators, venomous snakes and other predators. According to the International Shark Attack File, there were 57 cases of shark attacks worldwide last year, five of which resulted in deaths.
