Vienna – The Christmas masses in the federal capital took place on Sunday without any special incidents. Police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger said the executive’s security measures had taken effect on Monday morning in response to an APA request. In recent days, media reports have speculated that an attack on St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna was planned. Several people were arrested. Three were remanded in custody.
