Thailand’s central bank says it has no plans for urgent interest rate meeting

Asked whether the Bank of Thailand’s monetary policy committee would hold an off-cycle meeting to review the policy rate, an official replied “No” in a message to reporters.

The next review of the BOT policy is scheduled for August 10. Economists then expected an increase in the key rate, which had reached a record level of 0.50%.
