Colombo ∙ Sri Lanka’s former cricketer and tourism brand ambassador Sanath Jayasuriya and actor Mammootty met in Colombo. Mammootty, who was in Sri Lanka for a movie shoot, was met by Jayasuriya, a government representative. Jayasuriya released the information regarding the meeting through social media.
“It is an honor to visit veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty. Sir, you are a true superstar. Thank you for coming to Sri Lanka. All Indian stars and friends are welcome to visit and enjoy Sri Lanka’ – Jayasuriya tweeted following the meeting along with a picture with Mammootty.
Mammootty came to Sri Lanka for the shooting of the film directed by Ranjith and written by MT Vasudevan Nair. Mammootty is also likely to meet Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardene on Wednesday.
