The Angler: an open-world cooperative fishing game for up to 12 years announced | XboxOne

The creators of The Hunter: Call of the Wild use their experience gained in the creation of natural environments to test a new genre, that of fishing.

A cooperative fishing game

The developers at Expansive Worlds are trying a new experience with Call of the Wild: The Angler. It will not be a question this time of killing animals, but rather of going into vast regions in search of the ideal fishing spot.

Far from wanting to be a fishing simulation, The Angler has been designed for outdoor exploration enthusiasts as well as for those who would like to taste a good catch alone or with friends. The game is indeed playable in cooperative up to 12.

As shown in the video below, the game will feature many waterways on foot, by boat, or by vehicle, be it rivers, ponds, and other hidden springs. Of course, the game will still revolve around fishing and fans will certainly recognize the different species to catch. The developers also mention various expert techniques to learn as well as a strategy to deploy to achieve the most difficult holds.

The game promises to be updated on a regular basis, which will undoubtedly add new equipment to further customize the way you play.

The release of Call of the Wild: The Angler is planned “soon” on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store and Epic Games Store) and a little later on consoles.
