The Arab Parliament welcomed the extension of the armistice in Yemen for an additional two months, calling on the international community to support the establishment of a ceasefire in Yemen and work to push the parties towards a comprehensive solution.
In a statement yesterday, the Arab Parliament commended the pivotal role played by Saudi Arabia in achieving stability and security for Yemen and alleviating the suffering of Yemenis, noting the importance of adhering to the Saudi initiative announced in March 2021 to end the crisis in Yemen and reach a comprehensive political solution.
The Arab Parliament affirmed its keenness to support all efforts that contribute to pushing for a sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, calling on all parties to take quick measures that lead to a comprehensive peace process and a permanent settlement.
