Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, November 27th: The case of Xiong Xue, a former member of the Party Leadership Group of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and deputy mayor, was suspected of accepting bribes. The investigation was concluded by the National Supervisory Commission and transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. A few days ago, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate made a decision to arrest Xiong Xue on suspicion of bribery in accordance with the law. The case is under further processing.
