The Saudi ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Al-Bukhari, held a mass meeting in his house in Yarzeh, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Hassan Khaled.
In a speech to him, Al-Bukhari said: “Today, we recall a note from the prominent figures of religion and thought, and the Mufti of Unity, National Partnership, Sovereignty, Independence, and Loyalty to Seniors, which obliges us to follow in their footsteps.”
He added, “The assassination of Mufti Hassan Khaled was a prelude to the assassination of all of Lebanon, which is going through difficult days on all levels, foremost of which is its Arab identity and its relationship with its Arab environment.”
He continued, “We bleed for Mufti Hassan Khaled the results of the honorable elections and the fall of all symbols of treachery, betrayal, death industry and hatred.”
