The author of the series “Suits” Aaron Korsh said that the British royal family “expressed its opinion” sometimes in parts of the series, in which the Duchess of Sussex, American actress Megan Markle, co-starred.
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the British news agency BA Media quoted Koresh as saying that the character that Markle embodied was prevented from saying a phrase that was once written in the text.
The author of the series added, “We wanted to do some things, without being able to do so” with Markle’s character, considering that it was “a bit annoying.”
In the series, which premiered in 2011, the Duchess played the role of legal assistant Rachel Zane, and continued to participate in the work following meeting the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, in 2016.
Markle, 42, left “Suits” in 2017, following participating in 7 seasons of it, to miss the last two seasons.
It is noteworthy that “Suits” is an American legal drama series that takes place in a New York law firm that relies on the talent of Mike Ross (Patrick Adams), although he did not study in law school in the first place.
