At some point, Karl Heinz Maringer came across a cassette with special graphics. The gallery owner bought the “Mourlot Cassette” with 25 works by French artists, including Chagall, Vasarely and Picasso, and wanted to present them in the gallery. Maxi Maringer had the idea of supplementing the exhibition with watercolors and drawings by the French artist Bertrand de Vismes, who lives in Versailles.

The artist personally brought his cheerful and colorful watercolors and lively graphics to Austria; they can be seen here for the first time. The guests at the vernissage, including Prandtauer Prize winners Franz Rupp and Kurt Schönthaler, were enthusiastic and enjoyed “The Beauty of French Art” in St. Pölten, which is also evidenced by some of the points in the pictures.
