The “City Recycling” campaign in the OU “St. Kiril and Metodii” village of Karageorgievo “Recycle plastic bottles and metal cans – Save life!” – this is the motto of the “City Recycling” campaign organized by the Municipality of Aitos. With great desire and enthusiasm, the students and teachers from the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” elementary school in the village of Karageorgievo joined the campaign. This is the largest and first initiative of its kind, which takes place in 14 municipalities in Bulgaria, including Aytos, from March to December 2023. The goal is to increase the collection of plastic bottles and aluminum cans by at least 70% on the territory of the municipality for the period from March to December 2023 compared to the same period last year. If the campaign is successful and its goal is achieved, one or more automatic defibrillators will be placed for life-saving first aid.
