The Christmas bonus, unchanged for ten years, will be paid on December 13 to “2.3 million low-income households”announced Friday, December 6 the Ministry of Solidarity.

Set up by the government of Lionel Jospin in 1998, this aid is granted to “beneficiaries of certain social minima”such as the Solidarity Income Assistance (RSA), the Specific Solidarity Allowance (SSA) and the Retirement Equivalent Allowance (AER), the ministry said in a statement. It is distributed by the family allowance funds or Mutualité sociale agricole, or by Pôle emploi.

“The Christmas bonus is a gain in purchasing power for the most vulnerable households, whether it is a single person, a couple or a family“, said Secretary of State Christelle Dubos.As since 2009, the amount of this end-of-year bonus will be 152.45 euros for a single person, 228.67 euros for a home of two people (couple without child, adult isolated with a child) and 274.41 euros for three people (couple with a child, isolated adult with two children).

From four people, the amount of the premium is higher for a single-parent household (335.39 euros) than for a couple with two children (320.14 euros) and the premium is supplemented by 60.98 euros per additional child .

  • One-Parent Family Payment, Jobseeker’s Transition Payment, Deserted Wife’s Benefit and Allowance and Farm Assist
  • Community Employment, Rural Social Scheme, TÚS and Job Initiative.
  • Long-term Jobseeker’s Allowance, Supplementary Welfare Allowance, Back to Work Enterprise Allowance, Back to Education Allowance and Daily Expenses Allowance (formerly Direct Provision Allowance).
