Vyacheslav Fetisov spoke regarding the proposal to participate in the Olympics as part of a refugee team.
Previously information appeared that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will admit Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics on the same terms as the refugee team. The principles of the IOC have allegedly already been communicated to Russian sports leaders.
“What is it? I really don’t understand how this format came regarding. I participated in three Olympics as an athlete, in one as a coach, as a minister and a senator, and so on. There is no such thing as “refugees”. What is it for, who are they?
