Jordan woke up, at dawn on Tuesday, to a horrific crime; Where a person entered a mosque and killed another person by shooting him.
According to the Jordanian newspaper, Al-Dustour, the media spokesman for the Jordanian Public Security Directorate said: “This morning, a report was received from the Zarqa Police Department, that a person entered a mosque and fired at another person, which led to his death.”
He added that “when the first police patrol arrived, the relatives of the victim had gathered, and they caught the offender, beat him and took him into a house.”
He explained that following “the raid on the house, the perpetrator was found dead.”
He confirmed that “seven people were arrested inside the house when they raided it, and an automatic firearm was also seized from their possession, and investigations are still ongoing.”
The Jordanian General Security did not mention the name of the victim or the name of the perpetrator or their families, only saying that the crime took place in Zarqa.
