The death mystery in Stokke remains unsolved – the family believes a woman was killed

– We are quite convinced that this is a murder, says the woman’s little sister NRK.

The 35-year-old woman was found dead in Akersvannet in Stokke. No one has found out what happened to her.

Although it’s been a year since she was found dead, it’s just under two years since the last sure sign of life, when her mobile phone hit a base station near the water.

That same night, she called the police emergency number twice. The first time she allegedly said she had been kidnapped.

– There is nothing concrete that gives reason to think that she has been killed, says police inspector in the Southeast police district, Odd Skei Kostveit, to the state channel.

The police inspector states that they have gained access to the woman’s Messenger account and are questioning the last people she was in contact with there.

– We now know a little more regarding who she had contact with that day. We have found no clear sign that she had an agreement to meet someone or met someone that day, says Kostveit.

Investigations are still underway to find out what happened to the 35-year-old. The little sister is sure that something criminal happened.

– We are really most interested in finding out what has happened to her, and catching whoever did it, the sister tells NRK.
